Skin Care Secret: Working on the “Inside”

Your skin reflects how you take good care of your body. There is nothing wrong if you want your skin to look good and feel good. It is normal that skin will look dry and dull because it is part of aging but it doesn’t mean you have to let it be. The good news is that there are many things that you can consider to bring back that glow. Smooth, silky and supple skin is not impossible regardless of your health.

First, you have to realize that everything you consume will surely mirror how healthy your skin is. This is the reason why you have to work on the inside. Here are some secrets for restoring your smooth, silky and supple skin:

Vegetables and fruits

It always boils down to vegetables and fruits. You have to consume vegetables and fruits to restore your skin’s former glory. To be sure, prefer to eat in shades of green, orange and blue. These vegetables and fruits have high amounts of vitamins A, C and E.

Liquids

What are the best liquids for your skin? Well, you can start with water. Drinking enough water can keep your body hydrated. Your skin needs water as it can help with the circulation. It does not end there because you might want to sip green tea as well. Green tea is filled with antioxidants that can prevent inflammation and damage to the skin.

Fats

They say fats are bad but for the skin it does good – that is, healthy fats. You have to consume foods rich in biotin. Biotin is a B vitamin that is involved in the production of fats. Fats can in fact make the skin smooth and plump. You can also consider foods with high amounts of mono and poly saturated fats plus omega-3 fatty acids. You can catch these fats in soybeans, olive oil, fish and flaxseed.

Now that you know how to work on the inside, it is high time that you know how to work on the outside. Working on the outside is more of establishing a regimen. There is no perfect regimen since it will vary depending on your skin type but generally speaking, you need the same things like skin tightening, exfoliation and moisturizers. Do not forget to protect your skin from damage by applying sunscreen whenever you are outdoors. Choose sunscreen with UVA, UVB protection and SPF of at least thirty.

Whatever you do, the challenge here is to consistently do it. Be patient and serious.
